Emma Hartley Walton is a UK-based illustrator and artist. Fascinated by the powerful storytelling potential of illustration, Emma's artwork is a playful mixture of colour, texture and human expression, allowing the communication of sometimes complex human emotions and ideas with a whimsical edge.
Emma has always enjoyed drawing, painting and studying art from a very young age. She originally trained as a clinical pharmacist but then joyfully found herself falling into illustration. Her slightly unusual background in science and healthcare brings an extra perspective to her illustration work; Emma naturally lets the wealth of human interaction and stories from her time in healthcare inform her work.
